Here we sit in our nest
Wondering what it is that's best
To get you through the coming week
Even though it might seem bleak
To make your lips curl in a smile
So that within a little while
Life will not seem so perverse
When you read our weekly verse
The Autumn's here, the weather's good
It's not raining like it could
The leaves are turning, red and gold
The season's glories now unfold
Now's the time to get out there
And breathe in all that crisp fresh air
Feel your spirits lift and soar
Who could really wish for more ?
